BESS ATWELL CO-OP

Bess Atwell has been turning heads over the last few years, impressing renowned publications and gathering an abundance of new fans. Her latest single, ‘Co-op’ (not the shop) is a laid-back, smooth piece of modern folk, merging addictive melodies with lo-fi guitars and warm textures. The song is drenched in meaning, with Atwell explaining that she thinks of it “the same way I think of a memory that keeps interrupting the current moment. It's a snapshot of a time of refuge and routine. It's an illustration of mine and my partner's life together.” It is accompanied by an emotional self-directed video and precedes a year hopefully full of great new releases. -Dan Peeke
